NHVR: GAZETTED STATE ROADS
Loads travelling on any other road must have a permit. Period Permits do not cover these other roads.
If operating under the National Class 1 Load Carrying Vehicle Mass Exemption Notice 2025 (No.1) the heavy vehicle operator has access to state-controlled roads, conditions and level of access will depend on the area and road classification (Critical Area, Critical Road or Major Road).
PLEASE NOTE:
The above Notice only provides access to state-controlled roads.
To operate off state-controlled roads (Council/Local Government) the heavy vehicle operator will need an NHVR access permit with local government/road manager approval.

This should highlight all state-controlled roads when you zoom into the location.
* THIS IS APPLICABLE FOR ALL NHVR PERMIT ISSUING STATES & COVERS THE STATE-CONTROLLED ROADS IN THAT STATE ONLY.
It’s up to you to ensure you are travelling with the correct Permit/Gazette when Escorting/Piloting a Load
